What happens if it rains on the day of the shoot?

Most types of weather won't stop me from getting out there, but if the weather forecast is consistant heavy, rain then we'll make a call the day before and reschedule. I encourage all of my clients to shoot at sunrise or sunset as this provides the best light, but it also tends to be the best weather, especially the evening.

What happens if my child is poorly on the day of the shoot?

I completely understand that children get poorly and often this happens without warning. If your child isn't feeling well on the day of the session then I am more than happy to reschedule to another suitable date. CORONAVIRUS - at this time we need to be even more careful, so if ANY members of your family feel unwell, it is really important that we rearrange the session.

Do you help us with what to wear?

Yes! Your outfits for your session are important and have a big impact on the feel of your images as well as the colours and tones. You'll be booking me based on my portfolio where outfits have been carefully considered, so in order to recreate a similar feel I offer plenty of guidance. Once you have booked you will get access to my exclusive magazine-style guides full of suggestions, tips and recommendations, including the best retailers if you want to buy something new. I am also available to you on email, phone and Whatsapp and encourage you to utilise my expertise so that we get your most beautiful images.

When should I book?

I encourage all of my families to have their session during sunrise or sunset as this offers the best light. For younger families this can sometimes mean that spring or autumn work best due to the later mornings and earlier evenings, so contacting me as soon as you've decided to book is encouraged so that you can take your pick from the options available.

How would you describe you style of photography?

Heartfelt, unposed, authentic and emotional.

Do you have a studio?

My studio is the beautiful outdoors. I don't have an indoor studio for family sessions - newborn sessions are usually held indoors at your home.

Do you shoot at any location?

I have a handful of very carefully selected locations that I highly recommend to my families. These locations have been chosen due to many factors; the light, the framing, the colours and tones from the landscape, the variation and the proximity to a car park to name a few. I also have my own private land, which offers beautiful long grass in summer, a tree swing and some stunning sunsets. With all that said, I am always open to suggestions and would happily consider other locations, a beach, your own land, the moorland, anything is possible.

How long do we have to wait to see our images?

I will get all of your images uploaded to your online gallery within 2 weeks of the session. It's usually sooner than this but completely depends on how busy I am.

How long does a session last?

My family sessions last around 90 minutes. Sometimes this is a little less with younger children or when the weather is cold.

Do you offer printed products?

Yes! I love seeing your photos in print and encourage families to invest in beautiful products. I use the very best providers and print labs to ensure the most stunning finish on your products. My products range from lay-flat albums with the highest quality paper; handmade framed prints, simple or bespoke; and gorgeous colour-correct prints in various styles. If you have something specific in mind, I will no doubt be able to source it for you, so please talk to me for more information.
